Howdy Ya'll!
I'm Katelyn and I'm a CowGirl, always been one at heart but soon I'm gonna buy my first horse and live the life of a true blue, country CowGirl.
Now let me ask you, "What do you first think when you hear the word 'CowGirl'?"
When I was a Kid I used to think of hats, boots, saddles and six shooters. Now I think of wide open spaces for horses to graze and for me to explore, I think of riding horseback and rodeos.
But what did CowGirl mean to the world when girls and women started to ride with the boys and men? When was the word used and invented? Who were the first CowGirls?
These are things I've been asking myself as of late. And I'd like to invite you all to join me in a search for the answers. If you know any of the answers to these questions or if you have any questions you'd like to add please just leave me a comment!
